The growth of fast fashion brands has significantly shortened the shelf life of clothing, leading to a multitude of environmental problems due to the increased disposal of these garments.

This project was made with the purpose of developing an app and website that could make a positive impact on society (This is a hypothetical concept created exclusively for this project).

'Sow a Seed' is a threefold initiative aimed at creating a platform where individuals can not only upcycle clothing but also do so in a way that bolsters local and small businesses, with a particular focus on tailors. Tailoring, once a revered craft, has somewhat faded into obscurity, and the 'Sow a Seed' initiative endeavors to rekindle and revive this lost art.

The name 'Sow a Seed' is derived from the literal act of planting a seed to cultivate something beautiful and environmentally nurturing.

Research & User Personas

Part of the project was to do a full scale research. This entailed performing competitive analysis, gathering user insights, ensuring accessibility in navigation, and finally, creating wireframes for both web and mobile platforms.

The Interface

The interface is friendly and welcoming, with the goal of ensuring a seamless and self-explanatory user experience. Each page was carefully designed with an emphasis on optimizing navigation between them.

Visual Language

The visual language created for this application are hand drawn illustrations that make it friendly and visually pleasing to navigate from page to page.
